Ken Van Doren, a candidate for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District, recently said, “Members of Congress need to start listening to the people …”
People I chat with agree that there is too much corruption in Washington because we keep electing the same people, even after they stop listening to the people.
Politicians start off with good intentions but are quickly corrupted by Washington. Party bosses pressure them into voting for bad legislation in return for campaign fundraisers.
K Street lobbyists bribe them into supporting amendments to legislation disguised to help people but only benefit a few. The list of corruption goes on and on.
Ten years ago I started to observe this from Rep. Ron Kind. It’s disappointing to watch his moral decay as he votes against the will of the people, supporting Wall Street bailouts and Obamacare. In return for betraying us, he was provided with special access to fundraisers with Hollywood and Washington elites. Just look at his recent campaign funding reports.
Now is the time to make a change. Van Doren is a candidate mindful of issues affecting all citizens. He has an independent mindset and the experience that comes from working in the real world as a building contractor.
Just shake his hand and look him in the eye, and you’ll know he spent his life working for a living.
I encourage voters to learn more about Ken Van Doren, and I’m confident that once you do, you will join me in supporting him for Congress.
